Molly Hoque is a writer & director from County Kildare, based in Dublin and London. Molly graduated with an Honours degree in Film Production from Arts University Bournemouth in 2024.
Molly began making films as a teenager with Kildare Young Filmmakers. Her short films ‘I Don’t Know’, ‘Witch Hunt’ & ‘The Inspector’ were well awarded in youth film festivals across Ireland, and she received further training with the Fresh Hothouse Programme, National Youth Film School, and the London Film Academy.
During her degree Molly wrote and directed four short films. Her graduation film ‘Mourning Glories’ won best student film at the Hasting Rocks Film Festival. Since graduating Molly has worked on Victorian Psycho (2026) and Wednesday S3 (2027), and taken part in the DIFF Next Generation Filmmakers Programme (2025).
