Climate Change article published in the Irish Independent

While on a one week work experience with the Irish Independent, I was asked to write this article about young people’s fears about climate change.

‘Variations’ play performed in Belfast’s Lyric Theatre

Travelled up to Belfast with the PlayActing Youth Theatre to perform our play, “Variations”, in the National Connections Festival. After our performance on Friday, we got to see Saturday and Sunday performances by other groups from across Ireland. Had a brilliant time!

Fresh Film Festival Final 2019

Went with the Kildare Young Filmmakers, and we won best Irish short film with An Fainne, of which I was Assistant Director. The film I Don’t Know which I co-wrote and directed was also a finalist in another category!

‘Variations’ play performed in Riverbank Theatre, Newbridge

First proper stage performance of “Variations” in Newbridge with PlayActing Youth Theatre. The play follows Alice, who relives the same morning over and over again in order to learn her lesson. I enjoyed playing the part of a cosmic-like Postman!

Friday’s For Future Climate Strike

Very happy to be asked to address the 10,000 strong gathering of young people protesting! The climate crisis should not be taken lightly, and corporations must be held accountable for their actions by government regulations. I hope my speech inspired some action.

Campaign for Arts Centre

Attended a Municipal Council meeting with members from PlayActing Youth Theatre, campaigning for an Arts Centre in North Kildare due to the lack of facilities for youth groups, specifically in the arts. We interviewed various groups and produced a video to accompany our campaign to the Councillors.

First Cut Film Festival, Cork

Kildare Young Filmmakers short film I Don’t Know was show cased. I was director and co-writer, and was asked to be on the Q&A panel at the end of the showcase.
